Our Objectives
Overall Objective:
 Our ultimate goal is the effective implementation of a new economic paradigm in rural areas, based on the conservation of primary forests fragments and the process of forest landscape restoration, regarding to the sustainable development of local populations.
 In opposition to the conservation mechanisms currently set up that separate human activities and nature conservation, which are thus, unsustainable, our approach consists on putting into practice an integrated approach of these two issues.
Specific objectives:
To achieve the overall objective, we identified the following specific objectives:
-
   ÂÂ
- Knowledge and Conservation of forest covert and biodiversity of existing fragments by reducing the pressures, and adopting the “Reserve of Biosphere†classification, according to the United Nation "Man and Biosphere" program;ÂÂ
- The rehabilitation of fallow lands, adjoining fragments with ecological restoration mechanisms, permitting both natural or accompanied regeneration of forests areas of concentration and food-producing;
- The value of carbon sequestration through reforestation and existing fragments conservation, as a long term source of funding;
- The development of a socio-economic fabric based on conservation and ecological restoration, either by a long term job creation, or by supporting the development of new income generating activities (ecotourism, new agricultural activities, etc.. ) or by a sustainable improvement of living conditions of communities (water, health, education etc ....);
- national and international awareness actions, in order to join efforts and goodwill, instead of communicating effective mechanisms in place.
